U. S. ParaGames is about those who have more of a challenge everyday and Go Beyond...It Can Be Done

A person is a terrible thing to waste!

An estimated 250,000 Americans are classified as paraplegics, quadriplegics, or amputees. Another 10,000 more are so classified each year. Many of these are returning military veterans.

The majority are between 18 and 25 years old. They ALL realize their life, future, has changed. Some are adjusting, some don't know how. Participation in athletics has been proven to aid many to realize they still have abilities, and potential, and value, to their loved ones, their communities and America . They are an asset!

The U.S. ParaGames is dedicated to aiding those who don't know how, to recognize their abilities, explore their potential, and discover their value through athletics.

It is estimated a quarter of a million Americans are classified as a paraplegics, quadriplegics, or amputees.  Annually, about 10,000 more are so classified.  Over 80% are men. The majority are between 18 and 25 years of age. Most of their disabilities are the result of wartime military service, automobile, motorcycle, and industrial accidents, and illnesses such as cerebal palsy, multiple sclerosis, polio and diabetes .

U.S. ParaGames ; established in the city of Kinston in the state of North Carolina , a series of adaptive sporting events for participants, primarily U. S. military veterans, that are either paralyzed or amputees. The games may also be open to non-veteran participants at the discretion of the organizing committee(s) of each series of games. The purpose of these games is to instill in the participants an enhanced recognition of their ability to be a worthy and valuable asset and a contributing member to their communities and our country.

U.S. ParaGames will also serve as a showcase to recently wounded veterans and our fellow citizens that dedication, determination and perseverance can overcome any obstacle.
